Essentials: Tom Welsh

Tom Welsh is never short of exciting ventures. When he’s not on the road touring with British rock band You Me At Six as their official videographer, he’s shooting beautiful lookbooks for his sunglasses label Tens in striking, desolate landscapes. Last year, Welsh embarked on an escapade around the world to film post-hardcore outfit Architects play 75 shows in 25 countries across four continents. The result was a beautifully-crafted film showcasing the raw energy from a slew of live performances, while also providing an honest scope into what touring life was like for a modest, independent band. Outside of videography work, Welsh looks to Tens as another platform to flaunts his creative mind, in equal meticulous fashion. The fledging sunglasses label offers modern twist to traditional frames that boast high quality protective lenses and quirky constructions, such as its Instagram Filters design.
