A Closer Look at fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG

Hitting retailers later this month as a bit of a post-holiday treat is Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s take on the ever-iconic Air Jordan 1. Taking cues from one of the two original AJ1 samples produced back in 1984 — and existing as an alternate take of sorts on the beloved royal blue edition of His Airness’ first Swoosh-emblazoned signature — the limited edition release couples a premium upper of blue, black, and white leather with the subtle incorporation of fragment design‘s logo. Even better, since the release comes in the form of the Retro High OG version of the silhouette, the collaborative release mimics the shape and aesthetic cues that made the first Jordan 1s such a timeless classic.
Following an exclusive release at Fujiwara’s own the POOL aoyama this past weekend, the fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is set to hit Nike.com and NikeLab locations in limited quantities December 27.
