The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Trailer

Here we have the latest trailer for the final installment of Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit trilogy, and possibly the last film in the entire The Lord of the Rings franchise. Continuing off from The Desolation of Smaug where Bilbo Baggins and his company reclaim the Dwarven ancestral homeland under the Lonely Mountain, The Battle of the Five Armies follows the carnage that ensues as Smaug wreaks his fiery revenge upon the innocents of the neighboring Lake-town. In the midst of this, Bilbo must convince Thorin to abandon his treasure trove for the sake of friendship and honor, while Gandalf warns of an enemy advance from Mordor. Thus, the stage is set for an epic battle of the ages as the armies of Men, Dwarves, Elves and Sauron’s Orcs converge upon a confrontation that will decide the future of Middle Earth. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is set to release this year on December 17.
