Run the Jewels to Release Cat Remix Album 'Meow the Jewels'

In a light-hearted joke to promote their upcoming album Run The Jewels 2, hip-hop duo El-P and Killer Mike recently announced a collection of ridiculous packages for pre-order. The offer was, of course, fake but it seems someone really liked the idea as a Kickstarter page was recently created to fund one such package, a remix of RTJ2 titled “Meow the Jewels that mainly features cat sounds. Well, as absurd as this article is, today the funding for the project reached $45,100, prompting El-P to tweet “WE DID IT, YOU CAZY MOTHERFUCKERS.” Joining P and Mike will be a collection of artists including Just Blaze, Baauer, The Alchemist, Boots and many more, all hoping make this remix a reality. Not to worry though, as a portion of the money raised will also be put towards charity.
