"The Field: Chicago" Goes Inside the Windy City with Some of Its Most Famous Artists

WorldStarHipHop has debuted a new documentary titled The Field, which looks at the violence and gang issues plaguing Chicago and how it’s reflected in the city’s music scene. The 40-minute piece goes in-depth, showcasing Chicago’s current sociopolitical landscape through the perspective of some of the Windy City’s most prominent music figures, such as Lil Durk, Young Chop, King Louie, Katie Got Bandz, Tink and more. Shot right in the most affected neighborhoods, the video focuses its lens on the inner city youth and the reasons behind the rise in violence in the city. It’s not all negative though, as the documentary also showcases initiatives from people like Rhymefest who has been working with Chicago’s youth to change its landscape. Check it out now.
