teamLab’s Illuminated Spheres Respond to Human Touch

Exhibiting at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in China, creative design consortium teamLab invites visitors into a multi-sensory indulging presentation that includes illuminated orbs that respond to human touch. Suspended from the ceiling and hovering above the floor, the giant stationary spheres are each digitally infused and wirelessly connected with one another to change their exterior hue when they come in contact with something. teamLab defines their interconnectivity as our growing interaction with the internet by saying “the internet has spread throughout the world. Individuals are connected to closely related people, and information spreads back and forth freely between them.” The insightful installation will be on display until January 14.
