Through its campaigns, glitzy presentations and pencil-thin silhouettes, Saint Laurent has done well over the years to evoke a certain vintage rock attitude for a new generation of fashion. In the wake of its Fall/Winter 2014 show in Paris, the brand has unveiled a provocative short film: “Paris, 2014 – Saint Laurent.” The film, directed by a duo of Paul Franco and Emmanuel Giraud, showcases the classic story of two young lovers trapped in a cycle of lust, resulting in a twist caused by momentary passion. The film is supposedly meant to parallel Hedi Slimane’s development of the brand, and is anchored by a quote at the end, translated to mean: “The most beautiful clothes that can dress a woman are the arms of the man she loves.” Enjoy the video above, created with French periodical Purple Magazine.
