Opening the first day of shows at London Collections: Men 2014, Lou Dalton took the runway with its quaint styling for 2014 fall/winter. Deriving from working-man-inspired designs, Lou Dalton presents a ready-to-wear range made with functionality and wearability at its core. While last season looked towards the lost boys of the armed forces as a predominant motif, this collection draws cues from utilitarian garments quintessential to the British outdoors. Enlisting subdued hues and traditional textiles —  think corduroy, denim and cotton — heavy outerwear pieces are layered with knitwear and chambray button-ups, while cord caps and beanies round out the line with timeless appeal. Look for the Lou Dalton 2014 fall/winter collection to hit retailers such as Dover Street Market later in the year.
