Reviving the memory of a defining basketball legend, adidas Originals presents a new footwear release modeled for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This version of the pro model is dubbed “The Blueprint,” named as a nod to the player’s illustrious career as a philanthropist and six-time world champion. The adidas Originals design team composed the shoe with a special blue Tyvek layer at the upper, giving a textural reiteration of the ‘blueprint’ concept. The interior features printed graphics from modern players such as Derrick Rose, John Wall and Damien Lillard – those who are influenced by Abdul-Jabbar’s game. White stitching and laces around the upper complete this instant classic, which will drop on February 14 (during All-Star Game weekend) for $100 USD.
