With the World Cup games in Brazil approaching soon, adidas Originals gives a nod to 1990′s soccer culture for its Blue Collection this season. Reiterating the wild geometric prints, vibrant neon colors, and rich textures that heavily influenced everyday urban culture in the early 90′s, adidas presents a range of tailored apparel for Spring/Summer 2014. Here we find technical jerseys and knitwear, engineered with everything from taped seams to water repellent fabrics, while elsewhere oxford shirts are lent lizard print at the interior. To match the apparel, adidas Originals dug into its basketball and running vaults, treating athletic footwear with lizard-printed uppers – all the while simultaneously celebrating the free, vivacious character of Brazil. Look for the Blue Collection to drop in stores on February 1.
