As the first solo release since 2011’s We’re New Here and single “Far Nearer,” Jamie xx presents “Sleep Sound.” While the single has been circling the web for a while, alongside a debut on Jamie’s BBC 6 mix, it will now be released as part of a new double A-side 12” titled Girl/Sleep Sound. Coinciding with motifs of the last release, “Sleep Sound” is accompanied by a quirky, color block album sleeve which also serves as the music video here. Syncopated vocals and nimbus percussion are used to complement a half-time beat, enjoy the single here and look out for Girl/Sleep Sound to drop May 5 via Young Turks.
