Sony HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder

Meant to be just a thing to help a struggling musician find viral success on the internet, Sony took to IFA 2013 in Berlin to unveil its HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder. A combination high-definition camcorder and stereo field recorder, the HDR-MV1 features a 120-degree Carl Zeiss lens with a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor for capturing video in 1080/30p while 120-degree stereo microphones allow you to record audio in standard digital AAC lossy format or in uncompressed CD-quality LPCM. Operation is as simple as possible thanks to a four-way toggle for changing settings, an obvious red “record” button, and even automatic Audio Lip Syncing – not to mention built-in WiFi and NFC for sharing online and directly to Android devices. Sony’s HDR-MV1 is set to arrive just in time for the holidays with a December release at a price of around $300 USD.
