Google & Nestle Announce Android KitKat

It’s official, Google’s latest Android mobile operating system – previously rumored to be called the “Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie” – will be named after Nestlé’s popular chocolate wafer, the KitKat. Android 4.4 KitKat maintains the platform’s reoccurring dessert theme following monikers like Cupcake, Froyo, Ice Cream Sandwich and more. Although little is known of this version’s enhancements, word is it’ll offer a major overhaul to its operating system as well as its user interface.
