Young & Reckless Highlight Mister Cartoon and What It Means to Find That Career You Love

“I think successful people in the world are people that found out what it is that they wanted to do young,” says Mark Machado, a man better known as Mister Cartoon. Young & Reckless caught up with the creative and connected on a deeper level regarding his progression in life. Growing up in the gang-ridden LA of the ’80s, the world-renowned tattoo artist found his own vocation at the age of 8, his first paying art job at 12 and has never since looked back. Spurred on by a clarity of vision, steely work ethic, and a knack for surrounding himself with the right people, Cartoon has tattooed celebrities like Kobe BryantBeyoncé, and Eminem and his work has been featured by companies as diverse as Nike, T-Mobile and Toyota. In this short clip, the legendary inkman reveals his recipe for success, offering some words of encouragement and nuggets of hard-earned wisdom along the way.
