This month Tel Aviv-based artist took over London’s Lazarides Rathbone gallery with his solo debut, The Abstract and The Very Real. Intersecting human connection with society and the political forces that drives certain social conditions — in this instance, the ongoing unrest in Israel — Know Hope presents a series of unique art installations with the help of found objects. Here, vintage frames and old papers become accomplices in his conceptual work, expanding from the confinements of canvas and frames to represent both freedom and decay. Studying various entities that stand between us such as fences, walls and borders, the artist compares these with political implications and collective emotions it creates.
