Brian Anderson on the Design of His Nike SB Signature

Unlike your run-of-the-mill piece of signature footwear, Brian Anderson‘s Nike SB Project BA was created by the man himself from the very beginning. Working out his own sketches, Anderson approached Nike’s footwear design team with a very clear vision in mind: a runner-inspired skate shoe with an up-turned toe for flip tricks and a low-profile heel for superior board feel. Working alongside footwear designer Fabricio Costa, Anderson looked to make his sketches a reality, ultimately incorporating an anatomical last, Lunarlon cushioning, and a Dynamic Fit system to create arguably the most technologically-advanced skate shoe on the market. Take an inside look at the creation of the Project BA above as Anderson’s premiere Nike SB signature is now available at select retailers across the globe.
