Hong Kong’s SILLY THING has been busy as of late. In addition to celebrating the third anniversary of its lifestyle publication, Obscura Magazine, the creative house is getting into the automotive game with the launch of Blackbird — a brand new journal exploring the “intricate relationship between man and machine.” The premier issue, titled “Racing Blood,” rolls out on August 9 and features the Porsche 911 — which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year — and McLaren MP4-8, as well as interviews with collector, Magnus Walker, Singer Vehicle Design and Hong Kong-based designer, Pinky Lai. Like Obscura, you you can expect loads of stylish, pulse-quickening photography and unique perspectives, along with a test drive or two. Look for Blackbird‘s Summer 2013 issue, “Racing Blood” at global stockists beginning Friday, August 9, and online at SILLY THING.
