An Exclusive Look at the adidas Primeknit 2.0

adidas has just taken the wraps off the next generation of Primeknit: the adidas Primeknit 2.0. Thanks to improvements in the knit manufacturing process, the Primeknit 2.0 boasts a minimal, single-layer upper that reduces weight and waste. The upper features a unique “digital burst” pattern across the upper — a subtle nod to the digital data programmed into the knit machines to create the uppers. More performance-focused than similar offers from its competitors, the adidas Primeknit 2.0 features reinforced panels at the toe and heel for increased abrasion resistance, and sits atop the sole unit from the adidas adizero Adios 2 — currently the fastest marathon shoe in competition. The collection starts off with the black/white colorway, which is in stores now, and will continue with additional colorway launches throughout the rest of the year such as blue, yellow and red (unseen).
