Y-3 2013 Fall/Winter Smooth Model

Y-3 presents a re-imagined take on the classic adidas Superstar for Fall/Winter 2013 dubbed simply the Smooth Model. We’re not sure exactly what Smooth Model means, but it may be a reference to the classic shell toe, which has been re-imagined in a sleek finish sans the ridges. Shell toe aside, the model sports a unique upper that incorporates rough, hairy suede, a rubber heel wrap, and textiles underlays below. The predominantly grey and black upper gets some added color courtesy of the neon green stripe running across the ankle and the bright pink laces.
