Without falling far from its skate, surf and snow roots, Volcom’s latest offerings ode of upfront, action sport sensibilities synonymous to the brand yet are crafted with refinement that seamlessly incorporates lifestyle. With the acquisition, Volcolm’s rejuvenation has allowed the skate imprint to explore the long overdue category of footwear. We spoke to Executive VP & Global Creative Director Ethan Anderson and Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Ryan Immegart on the brand’s entrance into shoe design, learning about Volcom’s youthful aesthetics in light of its new-found sophistication — successfully merging skate-friendly motifs with progressive designs.
