Founded in 1999, Hyperstealth Biotechnology Corp. has become one of the leading suppliers of camouflage to militaries across the globe thanks to more than 10,000 patterns under international copyright and in use by various branches of armed and special forces. Each design uses patented technology to develop patterns based on mathematical fractals, thus rendering each motif uniquely different. Now, Vans has tapped the company to develop a custom camouflage pattern inspired by the checkerboard pattern prevalent throughout the California-based brand’s heritage footwear. The result is the Vans OTW Hyperstealth Camo Pack for Fall 2013. Featuring the OTW’s Bedford and Ludlow silhouettes alongside the new Lynwood high-top and a bevy of accessories and apparel, the range makes heavy use of the specially-designed pattern throughout. Select pieces are now available online while the entirety of the Hyperstealth Camo Pack will be available later this month at select Vans OTW stockists.
