London skate shop pioneer Slam City Skates has come to us today with the news of its latest collaboration with Vans Syndicate. Choosing the Derby silhouette for its shredding functionality, Slam City worked closely with the Vans team to create a version that utilized premium materials to give riders a durable, yet stylish sneaker. With a high-in-quality leather base, the boutique shop added a wingtip design as well as copper and brass eyelets for a dose of English elegance. With wearability at the forefront of design, the two brands also chose to incorporate an Ultracush HD insole to offer added padding in its heel area. Slam’s team of riders have been skating in this Derby for the last month and have expressed nothing but positive reviews. Touted as being “designed to look good on and off a skateboard,” the collaborative Slam City Skates x Vans Syndicate Derby will be unveiled this Friday night at Slam City Skates East in London.
