For Vans‘ latest collaboration, the California-based company teamed up with London’s Liberty to showcase six Liberty Art Fabrics across two Vans silhouettes. Working with the Vans Era and Authentic, Liberty has pulled from its vast archives to give these classic silhouettes a new, one-of-a-kind look. Two paisley options, one each for the Authentic and Era, start off the collection. Inspired by an original Liberty scarf, the paisleys were cut straight from the stock fabric and applied to the shoe meaning that no two shoes are exactly the same. Moving away from paisley, a classic floral pattern from Liberty was combined with the iconic checkerboard pattern from Vans to create a new and totally unique print for both silhouettes. Finally, an abstract, printed mountain landscape was created for the Era and a rich collage of pink leaves, floral patterns and bird for the Authentic. All six colorways are available at select Vans locations, online at Vans and, of course, Liberty of London.
