Storied French brand, le coq sportif, has been making a quiet return to prominence as of late, a resurgence that can be largely attributed to its popular retro silhouettes. The Eclat 89 is one such style, an athletic sneaker that was originally released for runners in 1985. Known for their thick midsoles and suede and mesh uppers, the simple kicks also feature plastic eyelets and le coq sportif branding on their side panels and heels, making them ideal for both casual use and a bit of recreational jogging. In a classic colorway of Marshmallow/Sodalite Blue, the Eclat 89 is available now at retailers like Berlin’s Overkill.
