kielo; 2013 Fall/Winter Lookbook

Tokyo-based label kielo; (headed by Yuta Yajima and Erika Mizuno) explores the theme of liberation in its latest 2013 fall/winter lookbook. Known for blending various art forms and nature into classic garments, the kielo; name embraces androgyny, poetic and eccentric qualities, all mixed with hints of dark romanticism. Going on its third season, Fall/Winter 2013 tells a story of a middle-class individual whom leads a luxurious life, but is frustrated by the secluded nature of upper class society, eventually driving him mad as he is forced to express his inner desire through garments. Key materials and themes used in this collection are faux fur, jacquard, alpaca serge, textured knits and bold prints.
