When adidas introduced its Torsion system technology in 1989, it was quickly recognized as one of the most innovative advancements to footwear as it provided runners with more flexibility and stability than ever before. That same technology has been featured on a slew of models over the last 25 years, including the Torsion Allegra S, first released in 1993. Having brought the Torsion Allegra back last season, adidas Originals will revisit the retro model once again for its 2013 fall/winter lineup. Utilizing its specialized sock-like construction, the timeless runner is given a fresh look with a few new seasonal colorways, TPU moulded stripes, suede vamp and heel cap overlays. Be on the lookout for the above Torsion Allegra collection to hit select adidas Originals stockists in the coming weeks to months.
