Rick Owens for adidas 2014 Spring Collection

When adidas and Rick Owens announced a collaboration earlier this month, the footwear and high fashion world took notice. As promised, the collection has received its initial unveiling this week in Paris. The shoes arrive with a surprisingly balanced approach between the aesthetics of Owens and adidas with an augmented high-top tongue and a stripped down, minimalist design. Hits of muted leather and nylon make up the majority of the shoe that sees a predominantly white, light grey and black construction. An unassuming Three Stripes hit is given to the side profile via perforated linework on the interior and exterior panels.
