Since 1990 Nike’s Reuse-a-Shoe program has transform 28 million pairs of secondhand shoes and 36,000 tons of scrap materials into Nike Grid, a byproduct used in creating more than 450,000 athletic fields, courts and tracks around the globe. As a result Nike has been able to cover approximately 632 million square feet of space with Nike Grid, an estimate that nearly matches the size of the island of Manhattan. Still strong some 20 years later, Nike teams with London-based motion studio company ManvsMachine to produce a fun, animated video that highlights the core essence of Reuse-a-Shoe.
