Joya Shows the Manufacturing Processes Behind Its Oliver Ruuger Collaboration

Joya and Oliver Ruuger have joined hands in crafting a limited-edition candle and case made in New York and London, respectively. The leather case is made from British saddle hide with intricate artwork burned into its surface, while the candle tantalizes the senses with a combination of woodsmoke, fire and cade (prickly juniper). As to the name inscribed on the glass holder, “In Girum” is taken from an ancient Latin palindrome In Girum Imus Nocte et Consumimur Igni, which translates to “We go into the circle at night and are consumed by fire.” The candle and case are available together for $450 USD at Joya’s online store.
