The brainchild of Yardbird‘s Lindsay Jang and fashion and lifestyle blogger Cindy Ko of Cindiddy.com, Pirate Kitchen will host their inaugural event with the help of Nobu InterContential Hong Kong’s Executive Chef Erik Idos and WANG by Joyce Wang.

The premise of the Pirate Kitchen brings together mutli-disciplinary creatives to share their collective interests in food. The opening menu includes several pedestrian offerings, inspired by Chef Idos’ Filipino background and general comfort foods from his childhood.

Among the items for the event which takes place Sunday, June 16 at WANG Space includes crispy pork belly, a SPAM rice bowl, homemade spring rolls, and green mango salad. For both Erik Idos and Joyce Wang, they have proven to be formidable partners based on their recent experiences. For Idos, he joined Nobu InterContinental in June of 2010 and has since parlayed his initial interest in food as a child (thanks to his grandfather and aunts) into a full-fledged career. WANG by Joyce Wang has enjoyed a meteoric rise, having designed for numerous projects including high-end interiors, furniture and architecture within a short three-year span.
