Costume National 2014 Spring/Summer Collection

Dubbed “I, Cowboy,” Costume National and designer Ennio Capasa‘s upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection of menswear channeled a loose cowboy theme – along with modern tailoring and a decidedly sporty-yet-casual Italian approach – as it hit the runway in Milan over the weekend. Western-inspired silver tips appeared throughout the likes of shirt collars, blazer lapels, and booties while straw cowboy hats sporting painted brims also joined the fray. Further plays on the theme of the contemporary cowboy include tasseled leather motorcycle jackets, oversized sweaters, and a leather-adorned gauze take on the iconic Western denim button-down.
