A Conversation with Mark Mahoney Presented by Dita Eyewear

Having already appeared in the brand’s aptly-dubbed “Legends” Fall/Winter 2013 lookbook, fabled tattoo extraordinaire Mark Mahoney sat down with cult SoCal accessories label Dita Eyewear at Hollywood’s Shamrock Social Club for a reflection on his past. In the resulting three-and-a-half-minute piece we get a behind-the-scenes look at Mahoney’s starring role in Dita’s latest fall/winter campaign as he provides some candid insight into his inspirations, his rejection of ’70s culture in favor of sensibilities pulled right out of the 1950s – choppers, old cars, slicked-back hair – and “Rat Pack” inspiration dominate the artist’s signature aesthetic.
