London’s Foot Patrol was a long-serving footwear institution before unfortunately closing its doors 2008. After reopening under Britain’s sporting heavyweights JD Sports (owners of size? as well) back in mid-2010, the retailer has moved full steam ahead through numerous Foot Patrol-related footwear projects. Up next is a le coq sportif Éclat model inspired by one of France’s greatest confectioneries — the macaroon. The project is a follow-up from an original 2012 collaboration. This new variation features a “crisp on the outside and smooth in the middle” upper with pops of metallic gold running and 3M. The Footpatrol x le coq sportif Éclat “Macaron Edition” is set to drop on Saturday, June 1.
