More than 50 years ago, an Auckland, New Zealand man by the name of Arthur Lydiard came up with the idea of distance running to maintain fitness. “Jogging” caught on immediately and Converse crafted the “Auckland Racer” in the 1970s to pay homage to the sport’s roots. Now, Converse has aligned with the UK’s size? to create two exclusive editions of the classic low-top runner. Evoking the heyday of running culture, the two pairs see retro-inspired colorways of Yellow/Gold/White and Bijou Blue/White/Neon Yellow – each with nappy suede uppers, contrasting white accents, and a yellowed midsole for an added vintage highlight. The two pairs are set to be available both in-store and online beginning this Friday, May 24 for £60 GBP (approximately $90 USD) each.
