Long at the forefront of Nike SB‘s technological progression in the world of skateboarding footwear, Paul Rodriguez‘s signature line will receive an update this summer with the introduction of the Nike SB P-Rod 7. Once again appearing in low-top form, the P-Rod 7′s design is centered around the premise of superior impact protection. Pairing a mesh tongue with an upper of smooth and perforated leather alongside suede paneling, the kicks offer both protection and breathability while a brand new last, anatomical sockliner, and accompanying seamless inner sleeve offer increased flexibility and comfort. Once again utilizing a full-length Lunarlon midsole for cushioning, the P-Rod 7 sports a vulcanized rubber outsole and a modified herringbone tread pattern for board feel and grip. Finally, the release ditches the external heel counter of the P-Rod 6 in favor of a more streamlined look and a heel lock collar similar to past signatures. Look for the Nike SB P-Rod 7 to hit retailers this July in a range of both premium and standard offerings.
