Origami, wildlife and…menswear. This season, Hong Kong-based retailer kapok takes an unconventional approach to its Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook, eschewing human faces for the heads of “mysterious origami animals.” Look closely, however, and you’ll find a more familiar mix of some of the best labels in the menswear scene. A deft, globetrotting curation of names like Universal Works, Our Legacy, Norse Projects and Kitsuné, along with bags by Mismo and shoes from Yuketen and Common Projects, it’s a lighthearted – and lightweight – collection that works well with the playfulness and geometric lines of everyone’s favorite paper-folding art form. Head over to kapok’s online store to browse the full selection of Spring/Summer 2013 goods.
