2010 saw the beginnings of the Handmade diffusion label orchestrated by Wallpaper* Magazine, calling on some of the world’s most talented designers to produce quality unique pieces every year from furniture and apparel, to even food products. This time around, they’ve called in husband-wife team Esther Schulze-Tsatsas and Dimitrios Tsatsas and their luxury bag label TSATSAS to produce this KAGE Trolley Suitcase. The KAGE (Kah-geh, or Japanese for ‘shadow’) is an unassuming and simplistic piece that harkens back to 19th century travel accessories. Made from Italian cowhide and lined with soft nappa leather, the bag is reinforced with glossy brass tubing that also keeps the bag off the ground. Its handle is cleverly designed to fold up to allow the bag to be towed, or folded down on top of the bag, allowing it to be carried by hand.
