Check Out Paul McCarthy's Pile of Feces and Other Unique Inflatable Sculptures | Video

Visitors to the future site of Hong Kong’s M+ Museum in West Kowloon will be greeted by a giant pile of feces – well, not literally. The monument of dung isn’t an alien territorial marking, but rather American artist Paul McCarthy’s contribution to an outdoor sculpture park commissioned by the museum. Other components of the sculpture park include a large trampoline recreation of Stonehenge, as well as a giant cockroach paired with two downward-facing legs. While the specific statements behind each piece are generally exclusive to each artist, the goal of this sculpture park is to “…consider how certain realities and preconceptions around art in public space can be altered [and] undermined.” To investigate how well this was achieved, visit the site, which will run through June 9.
