Hidden — quite fittingly — in the back of a dilapidated convenience store, Bodega‘s Boston storefront has a reputation for being notoriously difficult to find. The retailer’s Spring/Summer 2013 wares, thankfully, are a little easier to locate. A savvy mix of streetwear and classic designs, this season features weather-ready outerwear, combination shirting, graphic tees, sweats and accessories. Bodega’s standalone outerwear offering for spring comes in anorak form, employing a rubber-treated cotton shell that is fully lined with camo mesh. In classic yellow, the Rubber Anorak Jacket is jam-packed with features like ventilation holes, map pockets, adjustable pop-snap cuffs, locker loops and drawstrings. A little less weather-resistant, perhaps — but no less worthy of attention — are mixed-media shirting like the Mixed Fabric Shirt, with its healthy combination of printed herringbone twill, suede and fleece; printed sweats, and graphic tees that pay homage to the likes of Dee Brown and Mars Blackmon.
A selection from Bodega’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is available now at our online store.
