Barry McGee "Drawing from the Street" Exhibition @ ICA Boston

Pop culture innovator Barry McGee is set to open a new exhibit at ICA Boston this weekend, fresh off the residual hype of his exhibition at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in Texas. “Drawing from the Street,” the title of the exhibition, seems to be a play on McGee’s graffiti-influenced style. The collection is meant to be a ‘survey’ of his work thus far, including the unveiling of previously unreleased early work; a tower installation of video pieces; a 3-D cluster of drawings, paintings and photographs; and more. In anticipation, a catalog of McGee’s work for the exhibition has been released through the ICA Store. If in the Boston area, be sure to check out McGee’s “Drawing from the Street,” which opens on April 6.
