Yasiin Bey may no longer go by the moniker Mos Def, but the music that earned him legendary MC status marches on with his latest track, titled “The Light Is Not Afraid of the Dark.” The track is produced by none other than Kanye West and was debuted at The Shrine in West’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Evidently the song was intended to appear on Mos Def’s 2006 LP True Magic, but did not make the final cut. That in mind, take a listen for yourself above.
