The World's First 3D-Printed Snowboard

The innovative team at Signal Snowboards returns with another episode of “Every Third Thursday,” where the team executes an out-of-the-box idea in the realm of snow riding. This week, Signal partnered up with special technology company GROWit 3D to “print out” a snowboard. While traditional means of producing snowboards have been necessarily subtractive, by using 3D printing technology, Signal and GROWit were able to quickly and efficiently build a snowboard from a carbon mixture. With the 3D printing revolution upon us, this video seems to beg the question of exactly how far we can take these machines. After printing the board, the Signal team took the board out for a jovial test run. Enjoy the video above.
