When all is said and done, 2013 may go down in fashion’s annals as the Year of the Punk. From Paris to New York, designers filled runways — and airwaves — with youthful attitude and non-conformist tendencies. SSENSE captures the rebellious spirit of the season with its “Beyond Control” editorial for Spring/Summer 2013. A fashion spread that embraces the glitches of the digital age with a distorted aesthetic — dark overtones, sharp lines and clean silhouettes broken up by a highly digital treatment — the feature profiles Spring/Summer ‘13 collections by Saint Laurent, Dsquared², COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus, Maison Martin Margiela, Balmain, Underground and Marc Jacobs, with a focus on high-contrast, rocker-inspired ensembles and standout runway pieces. The looks were modeled by Paul Boche from Fusion NY and rising new face Jen Dau from New York Models.
