Japanese label RFW, celebrating its15th anniversary this year, offers a comprehensive assortment of footwear offerings for the 2013 spring/summer season.
The collection features an exploration of different materials and colors across different silhouettes and their many offshoots. From canvas and hemp to both smooth and perforated leather, RFW skillfully re-imagines many established styles like chukkas and high-tops, further distinguishing themselves in that respect.
In particular, the sandwich line, which consists of the SANDWICH-LO HERITAGE2, SANDWICH-LO HERITAGE2 SLP and SANDWICH-HI HERITAGE2, is marked by the use of successive overlapping panels making up the uppers. Contrasted with two stripes lining the outsole before stopping at the front foxing, they make an innovative take on a classic style. These come available in natural white, green and orange.
