Just when we thought PSY‘s “Gangnam Style” craze had been overlapped by Baauer‘s fanatic meme viral, the Korean entertainer reminds us just why the anthem isn’t just any du-jour. PSY’s latest deliverance is a four-track EP titled Gangnam Style Remix Style dedicated to the massive hit. For this rendition, PSY employs rappers 2 Chainz and Tyga alongside Diplo on production duty. The Mad Decent honcho gives the whole track complete different iterations, injecting a large dose of bassline underlayed with EDM samples and trap attributes. PSY told MTV:
“I don’t think I’ll be doing any collaborations until my new track is done, and it’s not done yet, but I’m thinking of doing it by myself, so I can prove I can do it one more time,”. And I’m working hard on it, because I’ve got to be good with the track and the video, and I’ve got to be able to perform it on the stage.”
Along with this version of “Gangnam Style,” the EP is also accompanied by an Afrojack remix alongside instrumentals to both edits.
