American bag label Haerfest produces a highly technical “Collection E” for the 2013 spring/summer season. Taking its design cues from the Light and Space Art Movement of the ’60s, itself characterized by minimalism and a focus on the interaction of light and different materials, the collection is also inspired by the work of DeWain Valentine who was associated with the movement. To that end, Collection E features a selection of portfolios, backpacks, duffle bags and laptop cases crafted out of materials such as reflective gold leathers, translucent ghost PVC panels and high-density canvas, resulting in accessories that embody a refined contemporary style that begins to touch the fringes of futurism. The collection is available now from Haerfest.
