In 2010, Central Saint Martins alumnus Jeff Griffin moved his family and studio to the rural village of Hartland, close to the cliffs along the dramatic North Devon coastline. The scenic landscape provides the backdrop for GRIFFIN‘s Spring/Summer 2013 collection and lookbook, a meeting of city and country translated through military-inspired design, technical fabrics and locally-sourced craftsmanship. This season, Griffin’s love affair with camouflage continues with outerwear in cotton ripstop and ultra lightweight nylon, while bold pops of safety orange and green feature throughout on linings and pocket tees. Progressive techniques like seam-bonding and laser-cutting, meanwhile, along with the use of performance fabrics like Swiss tech mesh and Japanese Cordura, result in a strong collection of advanced technical sportswear.
