THROUGH THE LENS: 335mm (NSFW)

Another prominent photographer who uses Instagram as one of his many vehicles in documentation, 335mm is a self-taught shutterbug who spends his time cavorting between hometown Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami capturing alluring and, at times, seductive photography. Citing his influences as Terry Richardson, Julius Shulam and Yonehara Yasumasa, 335mm blends a style that dips into the spheres of fashion, music and urban landscape. Relying upon distinctive colors, spaces and mise-en-scéne, his aesthetic portrays an amalgamation that correlates strongly with that of his mentors. Having worked with Black Scale, Kreemo, Fresh-I-AM, and shot with music power house Columbia Records and Taylor Gang Ent., 335mm already houses an impressive resume in a short three years in the field – and with the continued onslaught of stimulating dispatch, it doesn’t look like he’s about to stop. Be on the lookout for 335mm’s collaborative Black Scale #BLVCKPUSSY T-shirt dropping Friday, February 9 through Black Scale’s respective flagship stores.

A picture is worth a thousand words — at least that’s how the old saying goes. Our latest feature THROUGH THE LENS aims to see the world through the lens of various creatives. Be it a professional photographer, a blogger, a creative director or just a fashion designer who happens to have an affinity for taking pictures, each photo set offers a glimpse into the frame of those individuals who have captured a very unique moment in time. In place of textual interviews or written pieces, THROUGH THE LENS is a visual interpretation and platform for those who have a story to tell. A picture’s worth a thousand words? Enjoy the read.
