Nike Debuts 3D-Printed Vapor Laser Talon Cleat

In a world’s first, Nike has unveiled a shoe that incorporates 3D-printed components. The Nike Vapor Laser Talon football cleats boast a bottom plate crafted using Selective Laser Sintering. The black and green plate boasts a unique design that allows the plate to be fully functional and durable while weighing a fraction of what a traditional plate does. Weighing just 5.6 oz, the lightweight cleats also boasts Flywire construction and a barely-there synthetic upper. Designed for this year’s football players as they take to the 40-yard dash in the Combine before hitting the fields, this example of form-follows-function should prove to be quite a blur when it finally gets some action.
