Perhaps deliberately laid out flat and presented as modern artworks are actually the first phase of the Comme des Carrés (literally: “like squares”) collaborative venture between COMME des GARCONS and Hermès. This initial batch consists of five printed scarves that merge COMME des GARCONS’ abstract artwork with Hermès’ trademark horse imagery. Retailing for between $550 and $720 USD, the limited edition releases will be made available on different dates in early February at COMME des GARCONS outlets in Paris, New York and Tokyo, as well as Dover Street Market in Ginza and London.
